Position Overview: The Cellular Pathology Specialist will prepare, stain, and analyze cellular samples to identify signs of malignancies, hormonal imbalances, and other medical conditions in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conducts thorough examinations of cellular samples to identify irregularities in the morphology, coloration, or dimensions of cellular structures and patterns.
2. Submits slides containing atypical cellular formations to pathologists for comprehensive evaluation.
3. Accurately documents specimens by confirming patient and specimen details.
4. Prepares and evaluates samples, including smear body fluids and fine needle aspirations (FNAs), to identify abnormal conditions.
5. Ensures smooth laboratory operations by adhering to specimen collection, preparation, and safety standards.
6. Adjusts, maintains, or repairs laboratory instruments such as microscopes.
7. Coordinates task assignments to guarantee the effective execution of laboratory functions.

Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of biological and medical principles.
• Proficient finger dexterity and steady hand/arm coordination.
• Ability to distinguish and identify variations in color, including shades and brightness.
• Capable of comprehending and executing complex technical instructions with attention to detail.
• Skilled in the use of standard laboratory equipment and tools.
• Proficient in utilizing computer applications effectively.
• Familiar with techniques for maintaining organized filing systems.
• Demonstrates accuracy, reliability, and initiative.
• Exhibits sound judgment and the ability to make informed decisions based on factual information.
