The unit is a 24-bed facility focused on post-operative care for surgical patients, encompassing a range of conditions including neurological surgeries, trauma, and various ENT procedures.
Working in this environment will enhance your clinical skills and critical thinking, covering areas such as airway management, tracheal suctioning, and comprehensive neurological assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures, ensuring the availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
- Monitor patient care documentation, promptly reporting any significant changes to the appropriate medical staff.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties, including managing workloads, directing visitors, and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Support administrative functions such as data entry and quality assurance audits.
- Provide essential clinical support, including maintaining cleanliness in work areas, restocking supplies, and assisting with patient transport.
- Deliver direct personal care to patients, adhering to care plans and documenting vital signs and other relevant information.
- Facilitate patient education by distributing materials and reinforcing instructions provided by healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Certification as Nursing Assistant II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certifications are mandatory.
- Minimum of one year of clerical or customer service experience, alongside six months of relevant nursing assistant experience.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is essential.
Work Schedule: Full-time, with rotating shifts.
