Job Summary

We are seeking a Sales Development Representative to play a key role in generating new business opportunities for our sales team. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying potential leads through outbound prospecting efforts, as well as inbound lead qualification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and qualify potential leads to build a pipeline of qualified sales opportunities
  • Research and develop a deep understanding of target accounts in your territory
  • Leverage all available information to form a prospective point of view on the value proposition of AcreTrader Inc for accounts in your territory
  • Effectively use calling and email outreach to generate leads
  • Creatively iterate on calling and email tactics to increase conversation rates across the pipeline building process
  • Effectively organize, track, and communicate the status of prospecting activity to the team manager and account executives
  • Schedule and conduct qualification calls to understand your prospects' business needs, challenges, pains, and the impact of those pains on their business objectives
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the ag industry, sharing how AcreTrader Inc helps similar customers, and tailoring outreach to how AcreTrader Inc can specifically solve customer pains, and when applicable, positively impact their business
  • Continuously grow your knowledge of prospecting tactics, sales tactics, enterprise software-as-a-service, the AcreTrader Inc product, and real estate - specifically, agricultural and natural assets such as farmland, timberland, and rural land
Requirements
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Ambitious and financially motivated to achieve your sales target
  • Fayetteville, AR-based or willing to relocate
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior customer-facing experience, especially in a sales or account management role
  • Familiarity with Hubspot or similar CRM
  • Prior experience working with professionals in the agricultural industry, especially land brokers, land appraisers, ag bankers, or investors
  • Desire to work with customers and help them solve business challenges
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a 4-year university, especially with a focus in business, agriculture, or technology
