Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and timely information to patients, including verbal instructions on how to complete forms
  • Collect and enter confidential patient information into our electronic health record system
  • Assign payor sources to qualifying patient visits and assess eligibility for healthcare grants and services
  • Check-in patients for scheduled appointments and coordinate with clinic staff to ensure timely care
  • Perform cash handling responsibilities, including preparing receipts and collecting money for services
  • Order and maintain inventory of forms and supplies, and create and update forms as needed
  • Follow workflows to capture activities and meet patient engagement standards
  • Conduct outreach efforts to ensure patients stay connected to OHP and La Clinica services
Requirements
  • Bilingual/bi-literate skills in English and Spanish required
  • Minimum: High school diploma or GED
  • Six months of work in a medical office setting or one-year experience in a high-volume direct public contact setting
  • BLS healthcare provider certification
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to intervene and promote reconciliation, compromise, and positive outcomes in difficult interactions
  • Skilled at using electronic health records (EPIC)
