Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Utility Construction Foreman with a strong background in stormwater utilities and water/wastewater management. The ideal candidate will have 3-4+ years of hands-on experience, particularly in industrial or commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Construct and Repair Essential Infrastructure: Oversee the construction and maintenance of vital underground utilities, concrete structures, and stormwater basins, ensuring community safety and resilience.
2. Operate Advanced Equipment: Utilize a variety of tools and heavy machinery, including skid loaders, excavators, and dozers, demonstrating technical proficiency.
3. Travel for Project Work: Engage in travel throughout the week, working on diverse projects in various locations.
4. Innovate and Enhance Skills: Stay updated on cutting-edge construction techniques and regulatory compliance, positioning yourself as an industry leader.
5. Document and Contribute: Record field observations to support project success and drive continuous improvement.
6. Ensure Safety Compliance: Maintain the highest safety standards on all projects, protecting yourself and your team.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 4 years of experience in concrete pouring and finishing.
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation, specifically in excavation and stormwater projects.
- Experience with wet utilities, including pipe laying and repairs for stormwater, water, sewer, and wastewater.
- Willingness to travel extensively, with a requirement of 85% travel.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety practices and DOT requirements.
- Previous experience in a leadership role is preferred.
