Civil/Site Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil/Site Project Manager to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading multiple projects and training support staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project design teams, including financial performance, technical proposals, and project budgets.
  • Supervise staff, schedule key projects, and ensure design tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Work with existing office staff and senior management to complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.
  • Oversee technical accuracy, use of standard engineering practices, and inclusion of appropriate documentation on plans, reports, and design documents.
  • Manage and/or review the development of design tasks, such as conceptual planning, detailed grading, and drainage designs.
  • Perform final ordinance reviews, coordinate utility service research, and perform site visits during construction.
  • Ensure quality control for all project documents and identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions.
  • Develop project schedules and construction timelines, manage multiple projects, and prepare proposal scopes, project schedules, and change orders.
  • Perform financial management, including invoice preparation, accounts receivable, and project profitability.
  • Mentor junior staff, including technical training, and ensure the company's standard AutoCAD procedures are utilized.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License, required.
  • 10+ years of civil engineering experience.
  • Experience in land development, required.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ability to mentor junior staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with exceptional analytical and judgment capabilities.
  • Construction oversight, preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
