Position Overview

Salary: Starting at $15.00

We are looking for a committed individual to take on the role of After School Program Coordinator. This position is essential in fostering a secure and stimulating atmosphere for children during after-school hours. The Coordinator will be responsible for executing organized lesson plans and ensuring the overall happiness and welfare of the participants.

Work Schedule: Typical hours for this role are Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 6:15 PM.

Minimum Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete all necessary training programs for the role.
  • Facilitate daily activities for students in grades K-5 as directed by the Site Supervisor.
  • Conduct attendance checks twice daily.
  • Be knowledgeable about participants' allergies and appropriate responses.
  • Monitor all participants as they transition through various program areas.
  • Ensure that all participants are properly signed in and out by their designated guardians.
  • Engage in professional communication with parents and staff on a daily basis.
  • Distribute snacks to participants.
  • Actively participate in all activities alongside the children.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Site Supervisor or other management personnel.
  • Guarantee the safety and satisfaction of all program participants.
  • Maintain all equipment and supplies in good condition and organized.
  • Provide guidance to program participants.
  • Administer the program in accordance with established guidelines and policies.
  • Assess program content and communicate relevant information to the immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and students.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and equity within the program.
  • Support safety initiatives by adhering to policies, reporting incidents, and addressing workplace hazards.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a supervisory role with children.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License (Class D) is necessary.
  • Ability to complete Mandated Reporter training within 30 days of hire.
