Desktop Support Technician (Mac/Windows)

Compensation:
$25-33/hr
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual with experience in onsite desktop support, who possesses a professional demeanor, as this role involves interaction with various levels of personnel, including executives. This position presents an excellent opportunity to enhance and utilize your analytical capabilities. The ITSM team is expanding its support for Mac and Apple products, and we require a resource to lead this initiative. The Analyst will be tasked with assisting end users while maintaining a strong emphasis on support processes. The expectation is for this individual to identify and address support trends continuously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for end users while fostering relationships with global peers and key business stakeholders.
- Implement the Global Technology Services strategy effectively.
- Track, support, and resolve issues, documenting solutions.
- Analyze and interpret technical and business opportunities.
- Install, move, add, and change PC hardware, software, network printers, and conference equipment.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate with IT Purchasing Admin for inventory refresh.
- Provide white glove support for VIPs.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in supporting Mac (OS/iOS) and general Windows troubleshooting.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and familiarity with ServiceNow.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in onsite end user support.
- Exceptional communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach.
- High School diploma or A+ certification.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
- Experience in physical Mac and PC repair/maintenance.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Working Relationships:
This position will report to the Manager, Americas End User Computing, and collaborate with fellow Analysts. Key internal relationships will include administrative assistants, plant managers, and other site technicians.
