The Mid-Market Sales Manager - SLED will be accountable for achieving sales and revenue targets aligned with established quotas. The team will maintain high activity levels, engage in daily prospecting, foster pipeline growth, qualify prospects, and adhere to Brightspeed's sales methodologies while meeting monthly revenue goals.
This seasoned leader in SLED must demonstrate a proven track record of enhancing team productivity through skill development, maintaining activity standards, providing motivation, resolving conflicts swiftly, and cultivating a highly empowered and constructive sales environment.
The role will emphasize acquiring new logos and driving incremental sales growth within our existing customer base.
- Leading a SLED sales team in qualifying leads, identifying decision-makers, understanding customer needs, articulating product/service differences, and addressing customer objections.
- Overseeing the RFP/ERATE/RHC strategy and execution in collaboration with sales and ecosystem teams.
- Ensuring overall customer satisfaction to promote continued engagement.
- Coaching team members to effectively qualify leads, identify decision-makers, understand customer needs, explain product/service differences, overcome objections, and close sales.
- Utilizing sound judgment within defined procedures and practices for performance management.
- Driving growth through new customer acquisition and upselling to the existing customer base.
- Managing the sales funnel, productivity, forecasting, and revenue analysis for team performance metrics.
- Recruiting and managing the sales team while completing necessary sales documentation.
- Identifying training and resource gaps, recommending improvements in processes, systems, and training.
- Setting the strategic action plan and directing sales activities in alignment with business objectives.
- Acting as a point of escalation for effective and timely resolution of issues.
What We Are Looking For:
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a master's degree is preferred.
5+ years of relevant experience, engaging with clients at all levels.
3+ years of leadership and management experience.
Experience in selling and managing complex telecommunications and technology solutions, with a strong preference for experience in both areas.
A proven history of success in integrated solutions sales and leading transformations.
Experience in guiding sales teams to sell solutions and services to mid-sized enterprises.
Ability to deliver results in a complex, distributed organization.
