Mid-Market Account Executive, SLED

Brightspeed is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mid-Market Account Executive, SLED to join our growing Enterprise team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving new and incremental sales and revenue growth within an assigned territory of customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a SLED module which includes State, Local, Education, Rural Healthcare and Higher Ed
- Drive growth through new logo acquisition within an assigned territory
- Drive new business with prospect accounts (zero billers)
- Sell the company's products and services via telephone/web conferencing using a solution-based/consultative sales approach
- Qualify leads, identify decision makers, determine customer needs, explain product/service variations, overcome customer objections and close sales
- Lead, develop, and execute ERATE and SLED RFP pursuit strategy within their territory
- Update relevant customer information - including sales funnel activity, opportunity updates, maintenance of monthly goals, customer proposals and customer contracts
- Provide superior service with every customer interaction
- BA/BS or equivalent education and 5 years sales experience
- Prior sales experience with a history of new market growth acquisition in a Telesales/web conferencing environment
- Past SLED/ERATE or Federal experience leading and developing winning RFP strategies
- Strong oral and written communication, analytical problem solving and closing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
