Store Team Leader Job Description

Job Summary:

The Store Team Leader is a key leadership position at Ocean State Job Lot, responsible for driving store profits, developing associates, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of associates to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manage store operations, including merchandising, inventory, and visual presentation, to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with district leadership to develop and implement strategic plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain a positive work environment, fostering a culture of trust, respect, and open communication.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail management experience, with a proven track record of success in driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Proficient in Google platform, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer service and sales growth.

Work Environment:

The Store Team Leader will work primarily in a climate-controlled environment, with minimal safety and health hazard potential. The role requires long periods of standing, moving, and positioning oneself to complete assigned tasks.
