Store Team Leader Job Description

Job Summary:

The Store Team Leader is a key leadership position at Ocean State Job Lot, responsible for driving store profits, leading and developing associates, and ensuring store presentation meets company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote the store's strategic vision and drive profits through effective leadership strategies.
  • Lead the hiring, development, and management of store associates, including maintaining staffing needs and adhering to the base-scheduling program.
  • Develop and promote a stable, knowledgeable store organization.
  • Ensure store presentation is in compliance with company standards, including merchandising, maintenance, and cleanliness.
  • Provide for proper ordering and communication to Buyers.
  • Comply with company directives, including operational, merchandising, and visual policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Monitor customer service to ensure quality service meets company and customer expectations.
Requirements:
  • Previous retail management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Google platform (i.e., Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets).
