  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and motivate a high-performing team of produce specialists to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team productivity, efficiency, and morale.
  • Customer Service and Experience
    • Ensure exceptional customer service by providing accurate product information, resolving customer complaints, and promoting our products.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the customer shopping experience, including visual merchandising and in-store promotions.
  • Inventory Management and Merchandising
    • Oversee the receipt, storage, and rotation of produce inventory to ensure freshness and quality.
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste, and improve product turnover.
  • Financial Management and Reporting
    • Manage produce department budgets, including labor, inventory, and overhead costs.
    • Prepare and analyze sales reports, inventory reports, and other financial data to inform business decisions.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Food Safety
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of produce.
    • Develop and implement strategies to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • 24+ months retail experience, including 12+ months of team leadership experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of produce, including varieties, growing conditions, and handling procedures.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
Working Conditions

The Produce Team Leader will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent exposure to cold temperatures, humidity, and physical activity. The ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods is required.
