Product Owner

- The Product Owner for the Data and Insights team is responsible for managing the team backlog, informing the delivery teams' priorities, and establishing customer insight groups. They will communicate with customers, business managers, and others to ensure product vision is aligned with business objectives.
The Product Owner will understand and anticipate business needs to effectively guide the product development process. They will collaborate frequently with development teams to provide business insight and ensure the team employs and adopts agile practices to enable quality delivery and increase the flow of value.
This role has 4 areas of responsibility:
Primary partner for the Law platform
Engage with customers and/or business partners to understand specific needs, key dependencies, and define the implementation plans supporting vision and roadmaps.
Works with PMs, architects, and development teams to understand and maintain alignment with business capabilities
Works with the scrum master (SM) to ensure the team employs and adopts agile practices to enable quality delivery and increase the flow of value
Works with product owners (PO) for other value delivery teams where there are dependencies
Partners with vendors and managed service providers (MSP) to maximize value delivery where possible.
Works with SM and release train engineer (RTE) to propose changes to improve value delivery and presents tradeoffs to PM
Strategic Planning
Acts as the voice of the customer to inform value delivery and sprint prioritization
Plans 3 program increments (PIs) out
Responsible for one or more business capabilities
Defines and responsible for short-term product vision, product roadmap, and application rationalization opportunities
Reviews features for strategic fit and understanding
Value Delivery Planning
Collaborate with primary partners and leverage domain knowledge to identify acceptance criteria, stakeholders, and desired outcomes for features
Accountable for prioritizing the user story backlog
Guides and understands user stories as well as their value drivers
Responsible for reviewing features that come into the Data and Insights product line, collaborates with delivery team and PM to scope and define features
Value Delivery Execution
Communicates change and ensures proper messaging to users and stakeholders
Shares responsibility with the agile team for product delivery against PI objectives
Initial point of escalation to remove value delivery barriers
Works with the D&I PM, architect, dev teams, and MSP to ensure reliability and SLA performance
Align and Inspire

- Experience identifying data enablement opportunities to create business value aligned with platform and business goals. Business, Law platform, and industry acumen to effectively weigh values and tradeoffs for technology decisions. Understands the Customer's data landscape complexity and the platform model, intent, and aspirations. Aware of data analytics and data science capabilities to articulate the potential of opportunities. Experience with ServiceNow's Legal Service Delivery module and iManage a plus.
- Translates business strategy to action and comfortably navigates through ambiguity and competing priorities to deliver opportunities. Effective working and delivering within a scrum team. Proven track record of delivering results leveraging data or data-related initiatives. Strong Agile experience with rapid decision making and iterative product development.

- Effective communication with both business and IT development personnel
- Leadership abilities to drive and communicate deliverables
- Strong network building capabilities within the business
- Experience in product management, including backlog management and feature writing
- An inquisitive nature with a desire to learn new things
Technical Skills Required:
- A Bachelor of Science degree is required
- Knowledge in data products, APIs, ServiceNow, iManage a plus
- Awareness of Data Architecture Standards.
- Understanding of the new IT Operating Model, including Digital Platforms and Chapters
