About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Process and Application Development Manager to join our team at ABB. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for creating, implementing, and reviewing business process and application development strategies to ensure global scalability and maximize benefits within the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement culture and implement improvements to achieve service excellence in your area of responsibility.
  • Showcase your expertise by demonstrating sound knowledge of business processes within the relevant industry and acting as an expert in realizing the business's long-term objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end business processes and support Business Process Owners in complex areas.
  • Define vision and strategies for business processes and applications, collaborating with business owners.
  • Bridge the gap between Business Process Owners and IS, ensuring integration of business and technical requirements.
  • Act as a central contact between business functions and IS, maintaining a customer-oriented approach.
  • Manage the business IS-related budget, ensuring cost control and monitoring actuals versus budget.
  • Identify operational challenges, lead teams to implement solutions, and supervise risk management strategies.
Requirements
  • 8 years of experience in business improvement projects, within technical manufacturing and/or field service, with 4-year accredited degree, preferred in Engineering, IT or Computer Science.
  • Experience with power equipment such as switchgear, breakers or power devices in manufacturing and/or field service of the power equipment.
  • Sound knowledge of ERP system; SAP preferred.
  • Broad & deep knowledge of theories, tools and practices in business improvement & project & change management.
  • Strong results orientation and ability to improve processes for higher business performance.
  • Strong collaboration and networking skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to guide, coach and mentor others.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
