Cancer Registry Data Specialist

The University of Southern California is seeking a highly skilled Cancer Registry Data Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Data Management team, you will be responsible for performing specialized skills, including screening, coding, and classification of electronic pathology reports, coding and staging of cancer registry case reports, accurately and completely entering data in registry data systems, processing MD follow-back, death certificates, and other record types, and demonstrating technical and professional skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screening, coding, and classification of electronic pathology reports
  • Coding and staging of cancer registry case reports
  • Accurate and complete data entry in registry data systems
  • Processing MD follow-back, death certificates, and other record types
  • Demonstrating technical and professional skills

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational capabilities with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Leadership and effective communication capabilities
  • Oncology Data Specialist-eligible preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Compensation:

The hourly rate range for this position is $27.15 - $28.50.
