Role Overview
In this role, you will:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute Electrical Validation Tests and Failure Analysis for Hard Disk Drive (HDD) products, ensuring operational performance aligns with specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with both internal and external teams to guide improvements in PCBA design for enhanced layout and testability.
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for hardware validation, underpinned by solid electrical engineering fundamentals and prior experience in test automation.

Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 6 years of experience.
  • The ability to meet objectives with minimal supervision, taking the lead on key technical projects.
  • Experience with high-speed, high-frequency oscilloscope measurements and familiarity with other laboratory equipment.
  • Proficiency in frequency domain analysis and FFT measurements.
  • A strong grasp of technical specifications, particularly voltage supply requirements.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as TCL and Python, along with test automation skills; knowledge of C/C++ programming is advantageous.
  • A background in electronics product validation, focusing on areas such as power distribution networks, power loss protection, DDR interfaces, SATA/SAS interfaces, clocks, LEDs, electrical overstress, noise injection, power glitches/brownouts, and electromagnetic compatibility.
  • Experience in failure analysis and debugging to identify root causes and resolutions.
  • Familiarity with CAD for PCB layouts and the ability to read schematics.
  • Experience with rework and soldering is a plus.
  • Full-cycle experience in developing high-volume, cost-competitive products; electronics design experience is preferred.
  • Desirable experience in Hard Disk Drive or Data Storage.
