Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team at Blue Collar Services. As an Electrical Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, providing exceptional customer service, and promoting our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical System Diagnosis and Repair: Complete all general electrical in-home service calls, ensuring accurate and timely repairs.
  • Customer Service and Sales: Establish strong relationships with customers, educate them on our products and services, and assist with finance options and maintenance plans.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with customer service and dispatch teams to ensure overall business success.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried truck.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training exercises, morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Mentorship: Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations.
  • Administrative Tasks: Accurately complete invoices, timecards, curbside feedback, and option sheets.
  • On-Call Rotation: Join the on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 service coverage.
  • Professional Appearance: Maintain a clean and professional appearance, including a clean driving record.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Licensed Electrician: Possess a valid license and knowledge of local electrical codes, with the ability to apply them on the job.
  • Electrical Techniques: Develop a proven track record in electrical techniques, including electrical hardware, junction boxes, circuit breaker units, tracing lines, and reading wiring diagrams.
  • Organizational and Communication Skills: Demonstrate highly organized and exceptional follow-through abilities, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Integrity and Social Skills: Exhibit high integrity, advanced social skills, and the ability to make solid connections with customers and colleagues.
  • Desire for Growth: Show a strong desire to be a better technician tomorrow than you are today, with a competitive individual contributor mindset and a love for winning as a team.

Compensation: $38 - $45 per hour
