Job Summary

Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Products division is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at the Halsey Mill. As a key member of our Converting department, you will be responsible for improving the reliability of our converting assets and leading daily operations to ensure efficient and safe production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement asset strategies to improve reliability and reduce downtime
  • Lead daily operations of converting assets, including developing operating targets and equipment setup procedures
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and planning departments to ensure efficient operation
  • Provide technical expertise and transfer knowledge to other team members
  • Develop Standard Procedures and build capability of technicians

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or relevant field
  • At least 3 years of manufacturing or heavy industrial experience
  • Proficient with Asset Strategies and Equipment/Process Reliability
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and transfer knowledge
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a converting operation
  • Formal equipment and/or manufacturing systems reliability training
  • Paper Equipment OEM experience
