About the Role

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Senior Software Engineer for Avionics Systems, you'll be part of a talented team that's shaping the future of space travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain safety-critical avionics software for spacecraft missions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions
  • Conduct thorough testing and verification of software components
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on avionics systems
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Python, C, or C++ programming languages
  • Knowledge of software testing and verification methodologies
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
