Lead Store Associate Job Description

Job Summary:

The Lead Store Associate is a key member of our retail team, responsible for assisting the Store Manager in all operational aspects of running the store. This includes ensuring each customer receives outstanding service by providing a positive and friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in all activities related to inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and maintaining merchandise.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with established standards, including responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and maintain rapport with customers, vendors, and staff to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure strict controls are in place to protect company assets, including cash handling and inventory management.
  • Perform data entry and manage the customer database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise, monitoring floor stock, and participating in inventory counts.
  • Facilitate the new membership and customer renewal processes, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including dusting, glass cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, and sanitization.
  • Perform other related work as required to ensure the smooth operation of the store.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide a positive and friendly environment for customers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and bending.
