The Facility Solutions Project Leader (FSPL) will have extensive MEPF and building controls expertise to oversee and implement Commissioning Management across various projects.
This role reports directly to the Facility Solutions Regional Manager and will be supported by remote Facility Solutions Associates.Salary Range:
$120,000

Position Overview:
The Facility Solutions Project Leader (FSPL) role is centered on delivering technical solutions leadership and management for the execution and implementation of facility management processes and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Act on behalf of, and in collaboration with, the VetJobs Construction teams.
Interface, coordinate, and directly manage the associated MEPF trade partners through plan development, inspections, and ultimately the commissioning testing process.
Demonstrate competency in utilizing all standard MEPF/building controls testing procedures and applicable tools and equipment for effective testing.
Lead a team to deliver the Operational Project Readiness (OPR) and serve as the primary driver of the Commissioning Management (CxM) services across multiple projects.
Review contract documents (design drawings, submittals, shop drawings, specifications, etc.) for comprehensive program/project understanding, constructability, operability, and functionality requirements.Develop a project-specific commissioning plan and execution strategy per VetJobs' templates and in accordance with the Contract Documents.
Establish and maintain a commissioning schedule based on the critical path milestones and in the scheduling program required by the Contract Documents.
Set testing/certification requirements for each piece of equipment for documentation management through the commissioning software platform.Review Level 2 and 3 commissioning scripts
Oversee implementation of commissioning progress visual tracking/status tools
Develop agendas and lead project commissioning team meetings to communicate the commissioning schedule, sequencing, constraints, and issues.
Document MEPF equipment inspections and testing. Track and drive issue resolution to support the start-up and commissioning process.
Oversee the management and documentation control of the commissioning progress via the commissioning software platform
Coordinate and manage the Level 4/5 commissioning testing on behalf of VetJobs Construction.
Other duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Position Qualifications:
Possess strong written communication skills and be detail-oriented.
Proficient in computer software - Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Cloud.
Minimum of (10) years of experience in commercial construction with an MEPF/building controls contractor, general contractor, and/or commissioning agency.
A bachelor's degree or relevant experience, preferably in Facilities Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Construction Management, Engineering, or MEP Construction Management.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Effectively communicate complex issues in written format and oral presentations to clients.
Must be able to function as part of a high-performance team.
Strong working knowledge of facilities operations and building systems.
Ability to work collaboratively in a mobile work environment.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Project, Word, SharePoint).
Strong project management skills.
Ability to recognize, troubleshoot, document, and optimize facilities processes.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret financial data relating to facilities.
Good understanding of critical facility environments, including hospitals, airports, and data centers.
P6 and/or MS Project Experience
