Interventional Radiography Technologist

As a critical part of our interventional radiology team, you will work closely with radiologists and nurses to prepare for and scrub into procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy and adherence to protocols.
- Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care and optimize imaging procedures.
- Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and address any concerns.
- Operate equipment to complete imaging procedures according to established protocols and quality standards.
- Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met and notify/remediate as necessary.
- Perform quality control procedures and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with departmental operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
- Adapt behavior to meet the specific needs of each patient population and provide exceptional patient care.
- Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible with registration within 90 days of employment.
- Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Interventional radiology experience.
- Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology.
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
This role requires medium work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The incumbent will work in a patient care area, be exposed to blood, body fluid, and tissue, and may be at risk for communicable diseases.
