About the Role

As a critical part of our interventional radiology team, you will work closely with radiologists and nurses to prepare for and scrub into procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy and adherence to protocols.
  • Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care and optimize imaging procedures.
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and address any concerns.
  • Operate equipment to complete imaging procedures according to established protocols and quality standards.
  • Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met and notify/remediate as necessary.
  • Perform quality control procedures and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist with departmental operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
  • Adapt behavior to meet the specific needs of each patient population and provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible with registration within 90 days of employment.
  • Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Interventional radiology experience.
  • Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
Physical and Environmental Demands

This role requires medium work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The incumbent will work in a patient care area, be exposed to blood, body fluid, and tissue, and may be at risk for communicable diseases.
