Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality patient care and safety in our diagnostic imaging department.
Key Responsibilities- Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
- Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care
- Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
- Operate imaging equipment to complete procedures according to protocol
- Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met
- Perform quality control procedures and notify/remediate as necessary
- Assist in departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance
- Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible with temporary state license
- Current unrestricted license in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology
- Interventional radiology experience
The physical demands of this role include exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid, and tissue.
