Year Round: 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM (Monday through Friday)

Compensation: $20.27/hr. (Grade 1) after a 90-day probationary period. During the probationary period, the wage rate will be $2.00 less per hour.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year experience in cleaning operations.

Physical capability to perform assigned tasks, including the ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods, climb stairs and ladders, navigate confined spaces, shovel, work at heights of 15 to 20 feet, lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs (with assistance), and operate various cleaning, snow removal, and lawn care equipment, as well as construction/maintenance-related adhesives and products.


Key Responsibilities:
Support the Head Custodian in ensuring the school facilities and grounds are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe manner.

Tasks include sweeping and mopping floors in designated areas; cleaning windows and glass surfaces; checking and replacing light bulbs as necessary; assisting with the relocation of furniture and equipment; performing minor emergency repairs; routinely operating and maintaining all necessary janitorial equipment; aiding in emergency cleanups; reporting observed issues such as vandalism; assisting with snow removal at building entrances when needed; contributing to daily cafeteria operations; and executing any other job-related duties as assigned by the Head Custodian or Plant Operations Supervisor.
