Year Round: 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM (Monday through Friday)

START DATE: ASAP

SALARY: $20.27/hr. (Grade 1) following a 90-day probationary period. During the probationary period, the wage rate will be $2.00 less per hour.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one year of experience in janitorial services.

Physical capability to execute assigned tasks, including walking, bending, and standing for extended periods, climbing stairs and ladders, crawling in tight spaces, shoveling, working at heights of 15 to 20 feet, and lifting/carrying objects weighing at least 100 lbs (with assistance). Proficiency in using various cleaning, snow removal, and lawn care equipment, as well as construction and maintenance-related adhesives and products is essential.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the Head Custodian in ensuring the school facilities and grounds are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe manner.

Key duties include sweeping and mopping floors in designated areas, washing windows and glass surfaces, changing light bulbs as necessary, assisting with furniture and equipment relocation, performing minor emergency repairs, maintaining and operating all required janitorial equipment, aiding in emergency cleanups, reporting any observed issues such as vandalism, assisting with snow removal at building entrances when necessary, and supporting daily cafeteria operations. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Head Custodian or Plant Operations Supervisor.
