Role Summary: The Project Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficient functioning of our technological infrastructure. This position entails hands-on responsibilities, including hardware installation, setup of peripheral devices, and network configuration. Additionally, you will support software deployment and system updates. Ideal candidates will possess experience in level 1 break/fix support and have familiarity with PC imaging software. If you excel in a dynamic environment and enjoy addressing various technical challenges, this role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute significantly.

Employment Status and Schedule: This is a temporary full-time, salaried, non-exempt role requiring onsite shift work. Standard hours are 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday. This position is temporary, lasting up to one year.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficient in MS Windows and related software
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware diagnostics and repair
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service abilities
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently, demonstrating sound judgment and creativity in resolving complex technical issues
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment while maintaining professionalism when interacting with various stakeholders
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) are preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to navigate various work locations independently; capable of moving unaided between different working levels and accessing all equipment locations, including elevated areas when necessary
  • Visual acuity to interpret and operate customer-owned computer systems and read/write relevant documentation without special accommodations
  • Capability to carry tools, testing equipment, and replacement parts (up to 50 lbs) independently
