The Guest Services Representative plays a crucial role in delivering attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during their stay, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to checkout while optimizing room revenue and occupancy.
Responsibilities:
1. Respond to guest inquiries regarding amenities, transportation, and local attractions.
2. Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies.
3. Stay informed about rates, packages, and special promotions.
4. Familiarize yourself with in-house groups and events.
5. Manage reservations and ensure accurate rate quoting.
6. Understand hospitality terminology and emergency procedures.
7. Facilitate check-ins and checkouts with a friendly demeanor.
8. Communicate effectively with team members using proper etiquette.
9. Operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system proficiently.
10. Complete all tasks on the shift checklist efficiently.
11. Conduct bucket checks and prepare reports as required.12. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
13. Assist guests with safe deposit box inquiries.
Qualifications:
1. Relevant college coursework is advantageous.
2. Previous experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
3. High School diploma or equivalent is required.
4. Proficiency in computer systems is necessary.
5. Customer service experience is beneficial.
6. Maintain a warm and welcoming demeanor at all times.
7. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with guests and colleagues.
8. Demonstrate strong listening skills and the ability to address concerns.9. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
10. Approach all interactions with guests and team members in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
11. Adhere to attendance standards as required by scheduling.
12. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform attire.13. Comply with hotel standards and regulations to promote safe operations.
14. Strive for productivity and assist in identifying and solving problems.
15. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
