Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at PepsiCo. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair and install production equipment as needed, using mechanical systems knowledge and technical skills.
  • Conduct breakdown analysis to diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement repairs or adjustments.
  • Perform general housekeeping and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Upgrade production lines with new equipment and technology to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Work with outside contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and audit standards.
Requirements:
  • 18 years or older
  • Pass technical assessment addressing job-critical maintenance knowledge areas
  • Experience with mechanical systems, product manuals, and troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns
  • Experience with reading mechanical drawings and electrical systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with electrical systems, compressors, and conveyers
  • Experience with electronics, gearing, and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with pneumatics, air compression, and preventative maintenance
  • Experience with pumps, schematics, and SERVO motors
