Manufacturing Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain manufacturing flow charts, work instructions, manufacturing BOM's, routings and MRP related activities
- Manufacturing methods, tooling and equipment, and Lean Manufacturing
- Manufacturing mainline floor support, including Failure Analysis from piece part through system analysis
- Production support for Engineering development and transition to manufacturing
- Assisting in bids, improving, and developing new products
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2+ years of experience (internships, co-ops count)
- Supervising manufacturing processes to ensure quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner
- Ability to communicate with other engineers to develop plans that improve production, costs, and labor required
- Diagnosing problems in the production line and providing recommendations and training
- Establishing safety procedures and protocols that prioritize worker well-being and minimize risk
- Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering, production, and sharing knowledge with co-workers
- Leading process improvement projects to meet business objectives and deliver quantifiable results using lean and six sigma methodologies
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Strong skills in design analysis and design for manufacturing
- Must be a team player with good communication skills
- Must have strong computer skills and be especially proficient in MS Office
- Proficient at understanding drawings and specifications of piece parts through system level
