Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Universal Associate to join our team at Cornerstone Financial Credit Union. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members by processing transactions accurately, educating them about our products and services, and promoting our credit union's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process member transactions, including deposits, loan payments, cashier's checks, transfers, check cashing, withdrawals, and bank-to-bank wires.
  2. Verify and proof transactions, examining documents for endorsements and negotiability, and detecting and resolving discrepancies.
  3. Provide exceptional service to members, responding to their questions and directing them to other staff as needed.
  4. Cross-sell and promote CFCU products and services, staying informed and knowledgeable of all credit union rates, fees, products, and promotions.
  5. Balance daily transactions, verify cash and check totals, and investigate and resolve out-of-balance conditions.
  6. Understand and adhere to all applicable banking regulations and CFCU policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized financial services training preferred.
  • One year of teller experience preferred; minimum one year of customer service and/or sales experience with cash handling required.
  • Excellent verbal and audio communication skills, with a professional, caring, friendly, and sincere attitude.

Working Conditions

  • The duties of this job are varied and are primarily designed to accommodate members. To efficiently meet the service needs of members, the job often requires the ability to alternate between standing, sitting, and walking.
  • Many of the duties are performed with a personal computer and require manual dexterity and accurate visual observation.
