The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and process employee payroll accurately and on time using payroll software.
  • Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports for payment, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Recordkeeping and Reconciliation: Maintain accurate records of payroll and accounts payable transactions, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including withholding, reporting, and remittance requirements.
  • Process Improvement and Efficiency: Identify opportunities to streamline payroll and accounts payable processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience or accounting degree.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with payroll software (ADP, Paylocity, Paychex etc).
  • Demonstrated understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Attention to details and accuracy.
  • Ability to pivot and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate high level of integrity in handling sensitive payroll and financial information.
