Job Summary:
The EYES Instructor will be responsible for delivering the EYES curriculum to high school and middle school students, teaching pre-vocational skills, and coordinating services with participant schools and referral sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver services to students in the EYES program from referral to exit.
- Teach pre-vocational skills curriculum, including career exploration, job readiness, and interview skills.
- Complete and carry out curriculum training.
- Develop lesson plans for students.
- Deliver pre-vocational skills training in identified schools in-person and/or through a virtual platform.
- Schedule class times with identified schools.
- Supervise and teach classes in schools and at Tommy Nobis Center.
- Maintain effective control and management of classroom.
- Educate the community regarding the summer EYES program.
- Develop and complete monthly status reports for participants.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in special education, rehabilitation, sociology, behavioral sciences, or business administration.
- 3 years' experience in a teaching role.
- Experience teaching or working with individuals with disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with transition students.
- Delivery of job readiness skills training.
- Developing programmatic marketing materials.

- Analytical: Strong ability to review statistical information in order to create reports, show changes, validate any deficiencies, and to establish improvement goals.
- Oral Communication: Ability to communicate and present information informally and formally to candidates for employment, new hires, program participants, employees, and other professional groups.
- Organizational: Ability to organize data and assigned work tasks for maximum effectiveness.
- Equipment: Knowledge of computers.

This role will involve driving to participant schools and working in a variety of academic environments. Time in the office is in a typical office work environment.
