Job Summary
MFS Talent is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Admin Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Admin Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic by providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Communication
- Greets and welcomes patients, addressing their initial questions and concerns regarding appointments, payments, and schedules.
- Answers multi-line phone calls, screens, and routes calls to the appropriate staff or physicians, taking messages as needed.
- Administrative Support
- Assures that all necessary verifications and authorizations are complete before patients see their providers.
- Communicates with providers regarding scheduling preferences and responds to urgent patient needs.
- Provides doctor-patient support using reference documents and tools.
- Performs various administrative tasks, including maintaining information and paging directory databases, and processing internal forms.
- Answers non-clinical patient messages, escalating where necessary, and manages and distributes faxes, mail, and clinic-specific documentation.
- Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of directly related work experience.
