Process Improvement Engineer Job Summary

Core Group Resources is a leading recruitment company with a strong presence in the marine offshore market, finance, IT, renewables, and non-profit sectors. We are seeking a highly skilled Process Improvement Engineer to join our team and drive operational excellence across various operations within the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze current processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement, including inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and quality issues.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand process requirements and drive alignment on improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct data analysis to quantify the impact of process changes and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
  • Design and document new processes, including the creation of process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
  • Lead and facilitate process improvement workshops and training sessions to educate and engage employees in continuous improvement practices.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to leverage technology and automation in process improvements.
  • Prepare and present reports, including detailed analysis, project updates, and recommendations for senior management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • 5-7 years of operations experience, including auditing, operations analysis, and successful implementation of performance enhancement initiatives.
  • Highly proficient with lean tools such as Standard Work, 5S, Visual Management, Kanban, Material Routes, Level Loading, and Poka-yoke.
  • Experience in problem-solving in any of the following methodologies: 8Ds, Kepner and Tregoe, Shainin, Red X, and Six Sigma.
  • Highly proficient in Value Stream Mapping.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • SAP, Minitab, Tableau, Denodo, Simul8 experience preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
