Job Title: Quality Improvement and Risk Analysis Specialist

Golden Gate Regional Center is seeking a highly skilled Quality Improvement and Risk Analysis Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

The Quality Improvement and Risk Analysis Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the agency's SIR process and provider quality improvement initiatives. This includes reviewing and approving SIRs for submission to the Department of Developmental Services, overseeing and coordinating SIRs and follow-up, and ensuring compliance with Title 17 Code of Regulations and the Welfare and Institutions Code.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve SIRs for submission to DDS daily
  • Oversee and coordinate SIRs and follow-up
  • Ensure compliance with Title 17 Code of Regulations and the Welfare and Institutions Code
  • Oversee the SIR policy and procedures process
  • Provide consultation and guidance to service coordinators regarding special incidents
  • Perform SIR trend analysis and identify trends for vendors, vendor categories, and types of incidents
  • Responsible for running and distributing overdue SIR reports weekly
  • Responsible for routing SIRs to all appropriate parties
  • Maintain a central SIR logging system
  • Assist in conducting SIR training with agency staff
  • Assist in the management of Medicaid Waiver 1915i SPA cases, as needed
  • Monitor Enhanced Behavioral Support and Community Crisis Homes
  • Responsible for the correction action plan process and follow-up
  • Perform follow-up on provider complaints and concerns
  • Conduct service provider trainings related to SIR reporting and quality improvement topics
  • Participate in GGRC Risk Management Committee activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Social Work, Social Services, or related human services field required
  • Minimum of two years' experience working in the field of developmental disabilities
  • General knowledge and familiarity with regional center process and Title 17, SIR regulations
  • Demonstrated experience writing special incident reports and following up on completed special incident reports
  • Demonstrated person-centered thinking skills and strategies in their work product
  • Evidence of leadership qualities and ability to undertake multiple projects and follow them through to completion
  • Ability to gather, review, and analyze data to prepare clear and concise written reports
  • Proficient in computer software programs, including Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
