We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donation Attendant to join our team at The Salvation Army in Huntington Beach. As a Donation Attendant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our donation center, providing excellent customer service to donors, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Maintain and clean up the area in and around the donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Assist donors in the receipt of donated items and provide receipts
  • Separate and sort donated materials into the proper containers and stack them as instructed by the supervisor
  • Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary
  • Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out
  • Secure and lock the donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift
  • Be available for flexible scheduling

**Requirements:**

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors
  • Ability to read and write and understand and follow both written and verbal instructions

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects up to 75lbs. with or without assistance
  • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
