The Salvation Army is a non-profit organization that provides a range of services to support individuals and families in need. Our Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program that helps men and women overcome addiction and achieve rehabilitation.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Donation Attendant to join our Retail Team at The Salvation Army. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive shopping and donor experience, while also contributing to the success of our Program and its participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors and customers
  • Stock and merchandise donated items on the sales floor
  • Maintain a clean and organized store and donation area
  • Process donations and ensure accurate inventory management
  • Assist with receiving, unloading, and stocking incoming inventory items
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to accurately handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions
  • Pass a background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
  • Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks, and miscellaneous carts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
