About the Role

Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Food Operations to lead our food operations at Asbury Methodist Village, an upscale continuing care retirement community with 1,300 residents.

This is a unique opportunity to oversee daily operations with a staff of 160 employees, manage a team of 15 managers, and report to the Resident District Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily food operations, including 5 restaurants, dining room service, bistro, full-service bar, and catering
  • Deliver high-quality food service that meets Sodexo standards
  • Implement innovative solutions to improve dining operations and customer satisfaction
  • Train and develop staff to ensure excellent customer service
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service

Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of experience in food service management, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
  • Dietary Manager Certification (CDM) required
  • Strong financial skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
