Position Summary

The Parts Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the Parts Department. This position involves supporting the Parts Sales Manager by addressing customer inquiries via phone and email, managing formal requests for quotations, preparing proposals, and negotiating agreements with original equipment manufacturers and other clients seeking dependable and cost-effective parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Parts Manager in formulating a strategic approach to parts sales.
  • Process both internal and external requests for parts; generate pricing quotes and proposals; create sales and purchase orders.
  • Monitor customer returns and initiate the repair workflow.
  • Conduct cost analysis on pricing discrepancies and set benchmarks for enhancements.
  • Provide support to the Parts Sales Manager as needed.
  • Oversee warranty claims and ensure timely shipment of replacement parts to clients.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Quality and Improvement to perform supplier assessments.
  • Work hours alternate between 8 AM - 5 PM and 9 AM - 6 PM with a one-hour lunch break.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in database management and inventory tracking.

Education and Training

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

An Associate Degree in Business or a two-year Technical College Degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

Familiarity with database systems and proficiency in computer operations is essential.

Experience in interpreting technical manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings is advantageous.
