This role involves close collaboration with multiple departments to align SOX processes with the organization's objectives while fulfilling regulatory requirements.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations to pinpoint and assess potential vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in SOX scope determination, risk and control identification, and the preparation of testing plans.
  • Oversee enterprise compliance projects and provide training to control stakeholders.
  • Partner with control stakeholders to formulate actionable remediation strategies for control weaknesses, addressing underlying issues.
  • Engage with Business Process Owners and Control Owners to document key in-scope processes, including detailed process narratives and flow diagrams.
  • Ensure effective project management oversight to guarantee timely achievement of project milestones.
  • Facilitate meetings with both internal and external auditors and manage the collection of prepared by client (PBC) documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with budgetary constraints and timelines, proactively resolving any arising challenges.
  • Independently document, evaluate, and communicate the outcomes and conclusions of work performed in accordance with established workpaper documentation standards.
  • Promote ongoing improvements in the internal control framework.
  • Assist in the review and enhancement of SOX program methodologies and practices, including the upkeep of policies and procedures.

Qualifications Required:

  • Experience acquired through degree programs in accounting or related fields, along with relevant certifications.
  • Possession of certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CCSA, or CFE.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in audit and/or compliance functions.
