Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Lead to join our team at Snelling. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of shipments, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with and oversee the functions and working of warehouse staff, prioritizing work, assigning daily tasks and targets, and ensuring optimum efficiency of all warehouse staff.
  • Monitor and assist in daily warehouse activities, including ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation for conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Support the Team Leaders and Supervisors in resolving issues such as shortages, damages, discrepancies in documentation and freight.
  • Manage inventory monitoring cycle counts and conduct audits to validate results.
  • Conduct periodic audits of cargo coming into and exiting the warehouse to conform with established operating procedures.
  • Reviews reports and manages all claims with carriers.
  • Recommend measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department, staff, and equipment performance.
  • Responsible for working with the Export/Import Manager to promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Trained and Certified in HAZMAT.
  • Understanding of TSA, U.S. Customs regulations and Forklift Certification is required.
  • Minimum 5 years warehouse experience.
  • Three to five years of supervisory warehouse experience.
  • Ability to work shifts of at least (10) hours, and occasionally longer, (5) days per week.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in cold/hot environment.
Essential Job Functions
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Work overtime as required/assigned.
  • Work cooperatively with others.
  • Interact with employees and customers appropriately.
  • Use a computer for tasks such as communicating via email and preparing reports and work schedule using outlook.
  • Review and analyze data and information concerning shipments.
  • Complete assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
