POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare meals in accordance with the dietary specifications of residents, adhering to community protocols and food safety regulations, under the guidance of the Food Service Director. Additional duties may be assigned by community representatives. Compliance with health, sanitation, and infection control policies is essential, as well as maintaining the standards of practice established by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Education & Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A solid understanding of food safety and sanitation principles is required. Must fulfill and stay updated with state-specific food handler training requirements.
  • Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated capability to execute both verbal and written directives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, and community staff in executing duties.
  • Proficiency in observing proper safety and sanitation practices.
  • Flexibility to work scheduled hours based on position requirements.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in long-term care settings is preferred but not mandatory.

Shift and Wage:

  • Available positions for both Full-Time and Part-Time
  • Varied shifts needed
