Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a detailed survey of all above-ground historic resources on our properties.
  • Document the historic narrative and thoroughly develop the historic context of the property.
  • Review property records provided by our internal teams and external repositories.
  • Gather historic information from primary and secondary sources, including maps, aerial photographs, and federal, state, and local records.

Qualifications

  • Meet the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualifications Standards for History or Architectural History (36 CFR Part 61).
  • Expertise in conducting reconnaissance-level surveys and preparing historic narratives.
  • Strong knowledge of NRHP eligibility criteria and documentation standards.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Proficient in historical documentation and evaluation.
