Key Responsibilities
- Security Architecture Development: Collaborate with software development teams to embed security protocols and practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Threat Analysis: Conduct comprehensive threat analysis sessions to pinpoint potential security vulnerabilities. Work alongside cross-functional teams to evaluate and mitigate risks through a structured threat modeling approach.
- Vulnerability Assessments: Execute regular assessments on software applications to identify and rectify vulnerabilities, including those related to open-source and code implementation. Stay updated on emerging security threats and industry best practices.
- Compliance with Security Standards: Ensure adherence to industry and regulatory security standards. Formulate and maintain security policies and procedures.
- Incident Management: Partner with the incident response team to investigate and manage security incidents. Develop and sustain incident response strategies to reduce the likelihood of future occurrences.
Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrated experience as a Product Security Engineer or in a comparable role.
- Deep understanding of software security principles, methodologies, and technologies.
- Strong grasp of common security vulnerabilities and strategies for risk mitigation.
- Experience with threat modeling tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with industry security standards and regulations.
- Proven background in Software Development, particularly with C# and .NET applications. Experience in System Engineering or Software Architecture is advantageous.
- 7+ years of software development experience, with a minimum of 3 years focused on product security.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in security assessment tools.
- Ability to keep pace with evolving security trends and technologies.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred.
