Job Summary

This is a highly visible role within the Amazon Robotics team, responsible for leading the program execution, business planning, and development of mechanisms to create efficiencies in design and deployment of a next-generation robotic fulfillment solution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full project lifecycle of large, complex innovative programs aimed at improving efficiency and reducing costs in Amazon's SSD buildings and supporting applications in Distribution and Fulfillment centers.
  • Develop and drive operational processes, technical programs, and have general ownership of the organization's business cadence.
  • Partner with the leadership team to develop and drive project schedules, manage resources, and ensure effective teamwork, communication, and collaboration across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
  • Lead the partnership between hardware engineering, product management, and systems engineering to develop and decompose comprehensive functional requirements into an actionable scope of work.
  • Identify, assess, track, and mitigate issues and risks at the program level.
  • Create, maintain, and disseminate project information to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience leading interdisciplinary discussions between Hardware, Reliability, Firmware, Software, Industrial design, and Product management teams to define and drive scope and clarity of work.
  • Experience driving multiple products through a complete life-cycle.
  • Prior experience with robotics and mechatronics or related products.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
  • Basic fundamental knowledge of mechanical and electrical design to channel dependencies with partner teams in Manufacturing Test, Reliability, Sourcing, Hardware Quality, Safety, Compliance, EMC, Firmware, Security, and Networking.
  • Proven experience in launching hardware from concept to production.
  • Project Management Professional or Certified Scrum Master certifications.
