Role ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with our Investment Accounting team, handling critical accounting transactions in a fast-paced environment.
- Establish and implement processes that accurately capture, monitor, and report financial data in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP), and internal policies.
- Engage in the analysis and review of financial information, ensuring precision and adherence to accounting standards.
- Prepare, process, and verify accounting entries within financial subsidiary systems and the general ledger, while maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Balance and reconcile the general ledger with subsidiary records.
- Compile and validate regulatory statements, financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An Associate's degree in Accounting is mandatory; a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in accounting or a comparable combination of education and relevant experience.
- A solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and proficiency in financial spreadsheet applications.
- Pursuit of CPA or another accounting designation is advantageous.
