Operations Director Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to join our team at Home Care of Greater Portland. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our home health care services, ensuring that all activities are executed efficiently and in alignment with company policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of staff members, including Aids, administrative personnel, and support staff. Provide guidance, support, and performance evaluations to ensure a high standard of service.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the home health care services, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization. Ensure that all tasks and services are delivered in accordance with company policies and client needs.
  • Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients and their families. Address and resolve any concerns or issues promptly and professionally. Ensure that client care plans are followed and adjusted as necessary to meet changing needs.
  • Training and Development: Implement and oversee training programs for new and existing staff. Promote ongoing professional development and ensure that all team members are up-to-date with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Implement improvements as needed.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage scheduling, budgeting, and reporting functions. Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation related to team performance, client care, and operational metrics.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and address operational challenges and staff issues. Develop and implement solutions to improve efficiency, team cohesion, and overall service delivery.
