Position Overview
The Parts Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the organization and efficiency of the parts area. The ideal candidate will possess strong office skills and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the parts area is organized and tidy.
- Maintain detailed records and reports regarding inventory levels, pricing, shortages, shipments, and usage of goods.
- Distribute materials and supplies to customers or colleagues based on work orders and requisitions.
- Place orders with various vendors through phone, email, or online platforms.
- Receive and verify stock items, recording data manually or digitally.
- Prepare items for storage or distribution, ensuring proper packing and unpacking.
- Conduct inventory checks and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Organize items in a systematic and accessible manner within storage areas.
- Perform various administrative tasks, including processing work orders and related documentation.
- Foster positive relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and clients.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
- Experience with heavy machinery or construction equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work a standard 40-hour week with potential overtime.
- Capacity to sit for extended periods.
- Proficient in using office equipment, including phones and computers.
- Able to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with NexGen maintenance software is a plus.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
