Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with carriers, suppliers, and logistics partners to negotiate favorable rates, secure transportation space, and manage service contracts.
  • Customer Service: Serve as the primary contact for key clients, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and providing regular updates on shipment statuses.
  • Documentation Management: Supervise the preparation and accuracy of all export documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement strategies to streamline export processes, reduce operational costs, and improve service levels.
  • Reporting: Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, and prepare detailed reports for senior management on export activities and team performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in export management with a strong background in air and ocean freight.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations and export documentation requirements.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools, such as CargoWise, Descartes, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
